From the supplier: State Farm General Insurance Co. has decided to terminate its coverage of commercial and residential risks in coastal regions in the state of Florida. State Farm will not renew the coverage of policyholders domiciled in Florida's Palm Beach and Hillsborough Counties beginning on Aug 1, 1996. State Farm also will limit coverage in parts of Broward, Dade and Pinellas counties. State Farm made the decision to reduce its exposure to windstorm losses. The decision will severely limit the amount of property and casualty insurance available in the state.
