Prediction of job satisfaction by the Wonderlic Personnel Test: (Dissertation)
Abstract How Wonderlic Personnel Test predicts job satisfaction is explored in this study. This study hypothesizes that intelligence score would be positively correlated with job satisfaction. Two hundred fifty-one subjects from the United States and the Philippines were surveyed in this study. Participants answered the Job Satisfaction Survey developed by Paul E. Spector, and answered the Wonderlic Personnel Test to measure their intelligence score. It was hypothesized that there will be a positive correlation between subjects' intelligence scores and job satisfaction scores. This study supports the hypothesis. It was found that intelligence test scores were weakly, yet, positively correlated to job satisfaction scores. This paper also explores how well other demographic variables (age, gender, and BA or MA degree of the subjects) correlated with job satisfaction. This study found that only age and intelligence test scores provided a weak, yet significant and positive correlation with job satisfaction.
